Summary

Darren Shan. A normal kid? Darren has a great life until one day he and his best friend go to a French circus. This day changes the lives of Darren and his best friend. After seeing that Darren's best friend wanted to be converted into a vampire Darren freaks out... Days pass and Darren thinks on how cool it would be to have the spider that the vampire used in his act was great to have as his pet. so Darren ends up stealing the spider and so Darren and his friend start doing tricks after a couples days of practice. Darren messes up and so his friend gets bitten. The spider's venom is poisonous on the second bite. But luckily the spider on bit Darren's friend once. But this left his friend paralyzed. So for help Darren goes to the vampire for help. The vampire said that the only way to save his friend was for Darren to strike a deal with the vampire on converting Darren into a half vampire and leaving his family. To save his friend he agrees with the deal. What adventures lie in front of Darren now that his parents think he is dead and that he is hanging around with a vampire that will teach him everything he has to know. The only way to know is to read the book.
